The base salary for a Civil Engineer in Austria is 61,400 €

Responsibilities: • Assist in the planning, design, and development of infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, dams, and buildings. • Conduct site inspections and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other). • Carry out feasibility studies and risk assessments. • Use design software to plan and design transportation systems, hydraulic systems, and structures in line with industry and government standards. • Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility. • Prepare and present public reports on topics such as bid proposals, environmental impact statements, or property and right-of-way descriptions. • Evaluate the results of soil testing to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations. • Coordinate with construction teams to ensure projects are executed smoothly. • Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc. Requirements: • A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field. • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification is preferred. • Basic knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD. • Strong mathematics skills, specifically in calculus and physics. • Familiarity with laws, codes, and guidelines governing civil engineering. • Excellent project management skills. • Ability to communicate effectively with a team and with clients.
